What We Collect
When you use ArcanTax, your CSV file is processed entirely in server memory and discarded immediately after your report is generated. We do not write it to disk, log it, cache it, or transmit it to any third party.
We collect no personally identifiable information including:
No name, email address, or phone number
No wallet addresses or transaction IDs from your CSV
No IP address tied to your trade data
No payment identity (Stripe processes payments, we receive only a session confirmation)
No cookies that identify you personally
Access Tokens
After payment, you receive a cryptographic access token. This token is stored in your browser's local storage — on your device, under your control. We do not store it on our servers. If you clear your browser data or lose the token, we cannot recover it. The token contains no personal information about you.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe (card) and on-chain for crypto payments. When paying by card, Stripe collects your payment information directly — ArcanTax never sees your card number. We receive only a payment confirmation. We do not link payment records to your usage of the tool.
Server Logs
Our web server maintains standard access logs (IP address, URL path, timestamp) required for security and operation. These logs are not tied to your trade data, are not shared with third parties, and are purged on a rolling 7-day basis. Trade data never appears in logs.
Third-Party Services
Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log the request.
Anthropic Claude API — journal analysis requests are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. No personal data or wallet addresses are included. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
Cookies
ArcanTax uses one functional cookie: a session cookie used to complete the token split security mechanism. It contains half of your access token and expires when your session ends. It contains no personal information.
Data Retention
Your trade data: zero retention — deleted from memory immediately after processing.
Access tokens: stored in your browser only — not on our servers.
Payment records: retained by Stripe per their policy.
Server logs: 7 days, no trade data included.
Your Rights
